DAY 1
ORIGIN | TEL AVIV
Departure to the airport by bus (time and place to be indicated). Arrival 3h00 before flight, boarding and travel formalities to Tel Aviv, changing planes in Istanbul. Light meals on board. Arrival at Ben Gurion airport and transfer to hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 2
TEL AVIV | MOUNT CARMEL | HAIFA | NAZARETH | TIBERIAS
Breakfast at the hotel and beginning of our circuit by the Holy Land. Visits begin in Tel Aviv and Joppa: we will admire the Church of St. Peter, ruins of the old seaport and the city, Casa de Simão, areas rich in biblical memories, so linked to episodes of the Old and New Testaments. Here we remember the prophet Jonah, as well as the visits of the emissaries of Cornelius to St. Peter. Visit of St. Peter’s Church. Then the trip takes the direction of the North, by the Mediterranean coast, until Caesarea Maritima (old Roman capital), as did Peter. Visit of the archaeological ruins where stands the Roman Theater and the Hippodrome. Visit continues to Haifa, the largest seaport in the country. Lunch time. Ascent to Mount Carmel (where Prophet Elijah took refuge when he was persecuted and also where the Holy Family rested when he returned from Egypt). Visit to the Sanctuary “Stella Maris” (monastery of the Carmelites). Celebration of the Eucharist. Then a panoramic view of the city with the famous Baha’i Persian gardens. We proceed to Nazareth. Visit of the Basilica of the Annunciation and Church of St. Joseph. Arrival in Tiberias in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 3
TIBERIAS | CAPERRNAUM | JERASH | AMMAN
Breakfast at the hotel and exit to Lake Tiberias. Crossing by boat from the Sea of Galilee. Then visits along the Sea of Galilee, stage and scene of the public life of Jesus. Visit to the Shrine of the Beatitudes, place where Jesus pronounced the famous “Sermon of the Mountain”. Visit to Casa Domus Galilaeae, center of responsibility of the Neocatechumenal Way and Sanctuary of the Word. Eucharist. We will continue to Capernaum, the “City of Jesus” (where it was his home and where he always returned), where we will admire the remains of the ancient synagogue, IV, and the House of Peter. It will follow the Church of the Primate of Peter and Tabgha - place of the multiplication of bread and fish - to admire the wonderful Byzantine mosaics. “ We continue to the Israel / Jordan border. Lunch on the way. Afterwards, departure towards Jerash, known as the «Pompeii of the East». In this locality we will visit the interesting ruins, where they stand out: Arc of Triumph, Oval Square, Colonnade, Temple of Aphrodite and, finally, the Roman theater, with excellent acoustics. In the late afternoon arrived in Amman, the capital of Jordan. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 4
AMMAN | BETHANY | MADABA | MOUNT NEBO | PETRA
After breakfast at the hotel, exit for a panoramic view of the city, admiring some of the most important points. Will start in the downtown, the oldest part of Amman, which is dominated by the Citadel that dominates everything. From here you can see a wonderful view of the whole city. You can also admire the ancient ruins of the Temple of Hercules dating from 161 A.C.), the Byzantine church and the fascinating archaeological museum which houses an excellent collection of Jordanian antiquities. At the foot of the Citadel we find the ancient Roman theater (2nd century A.C.) that still today is used for cultural events. We will continue the visit with the western part of Amman, thus admiring all the modernity that this part of the city exhibits. At the final trip to Bethany where, in the Valley of el-Kharrar and along the Jordan River, we can visit the place where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist. We will proceed to Madaba with a significant Christian population. A mosque in the city of Madaba, 30 km from Amman, the capital of Jordan, was named Jesus Christ. Madaba is known as a city of mosaics, for the richness of its remnants of the Byzantine Era, around the 5th century. Now it has also become a symbol of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence of a population. Among the architectural riches preserved in the city, stands the floor of the Greek-Orthodox basilica of San Giorgio, which preserves the first map of Palestine with the biblical places, which was made in the sixth century. Lunch. In the afternoon we will continue to Mount Nebo. From here, in the 12th century BC, Moses saw the “Promised Land” and here he will have died as well. Visit to its Monastery and the archaeological ruins that display the floor of mosaics representing scenes of hunting and herding, found in a small church built by the first Christians in the 19th century. IV A.C.). At the end of the visits continue to Petra. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 5
PETRA | JERUSALEM
Breakfast and lunch. Morning departure to visit Petra, former capital of the Nabateans, currently recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Situated between the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba, in the middle of the mountain massif, this city welcomed the Nabatean people who, according to biblical accounts, also dominated Damascus. The visit begins with a ride on mules or horses (meek), followed by the “Siq”, a narrow gorge flanked by huge cliffs. Gradually we will advance to the mysteries of the “Rose-Red City”, set in stone, with its spectacular Treasure Chamber, the Tombs of the Kings, sacrificial sites and boreal chambers. In the afternoon return to Israel, passing by the Dead Sea, the lowest place in the world, 400 meters below sea level. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 6
JERUSALEM | BETHLEHEM
After breakfast at the hotel, exit to the Temple Esplanade with the Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa Mosque. Visit to the Wailing Wall and the archaeological excavations of the Temple. We will continue our visit to Davidson and Mount Zion, to the Cenacle (where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper with his disciples), King David’s Tomb and Basilica of the Dormition (built on the site of the Dormition of Mary, in whose crypt there is also image at rest). Lunch time. In the afternoon, travel to Bethlehem. Visit the Church of St. Catherine, the Grotto of St. Joseph and St. Jerome and Grotto of Bethlehem Star, site of the birth of Jesus (upon which was built the Church of the Nativity). Returning to the hotel, we will visit the Pastor’s Field with its caves. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 7
JERUSALEM
Breakfast at hotel. We will enter Herod’s Gate in the direction of Via Dolorosa. Starting at the Litostrotos - courtyard of the old Antonina fortress where the Pretorium of Poncios Pilatus was - we will continue through the Chapel of Doom, and stations of the “Via Dolorosa” until arriving at Calvary and Holy Sepulcher. Celebration of the Eucharist. We will cross the eastern market and exit through the Jaffa Gate. Lunch time. In the afternoon visit to Qumran - city of the Essenes - where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. In this place, the lowest place in the world (400 meters below sea level), weather permitting, free time to enjoy the medicinal waters. Continue to Bethany, visiting the Church of Martha and Mary. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 8
JERUSALEM | TEL AVIV | LISBON | ORIGIN
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Tel Aviv airport. Formalities of embarkation and departure in regular flight to Portugal, changing planes in Istanbul. Arrival in Lisbon.
